The intimate surroundings of The Reid Rooms near Chelmsford. Everything perfectly placed at the venue. A warm and light morning last year, all unaware of the impeding rain deluge thankfully after the outdoor ceremony.
All last minute but Ruchira is ready, her proud father waiting with the largest grin. Groom Rhyce and is entourage, smartly presented in beige and in anticipation of the bridal crowd.
Some lovely jokey words and the serious stuff too, ceremony over and let the games begin in the courtyard. Then the rain, a common occurrence last Summer. Spirits not dampened as most ventured inside the lovely stable interior. A few brave souls staying under the overlap of the outside bar tent.
The passing heavy shower finally leaves us and gives us time for the all important wander for bride and groom pictures, plenty of options but still a wary eye on the surrounding threatening clouds. A food call, and the laughter continues back inside. Like a Mexican wave and each table has a go at cheering the couple.
A game of knowledge of bride or groom with hands on head or waist is an additional crowd pleaser.
More games, a bit of cake and an evening band to entertain. Some serious moves on the dance floor and I have to go. A lovely day to photograph.
